The Ultimate Impact Challenge

Reach the World in One Generation

As one who has committed my life to follow Jesus, I am now ready to live as a disciple who is filled with His Spirit and led by His Spirit. I commit to being a life-long learner and disciple-maker. I will deny myself, take up my cross, and arrange my schedule to reflect Kingdom priorities. I will make it my focus to consistently win people to Jesus and pour my life into helping those people become disciple-makers, passing on the vision through mentoring relationships. I am ready to do this now or to be trained as I go along with someone while learning to do this within the next few months.
— The Ultimate Impact Challenge

If you take the Ultimate Impact Challenge, you are taking a challenge to become a continuously maturing disciple who is committed to the goal of making, mentoring, maturing, and multiplying disciples of Jesus. In order to help facilitate this kind of growth, you are also encouraged to specifically develop your spiritual life in the following ways:

  • I will reprioritize my schedule so that I can attend weekly mentoring meetings with others who have taken the challenge. In these meetings, I will discover my needs and meet others’ needs for developing life skills necessary for having a maturing, fruitful relationship with God, the church, and the lost (prayer, Bible study, confession, time management, money management, motivation, people skills, etc.). Remember: You can’t lead where you won’t go and you can’t show what you don’t know.

  • I will consistently go through the three phases of growth; 1) Foundations of Christianity, 2) 1st 40 Days of Living a Life of Impact, and 3) customized curriculum focusing on the growth of people in my mentoring group. By phase 3, the people are the curriculum, so I will customize what is needed in my group for what works best for spiritual fruitfulness. Every time someone new takes the Ultimate Impact Challenge or is willing to go through the Foundational series, we will start again with phase one, reaffirming in our own lives the truths taught within.

  • I will be voluntarily accountable to the others in my group within healthy boundaries.

  • I will learn from others utilizing available resources from those who are effective at disciple-making. This could look like videos, conferences, training, online resources, etc.

  • I will make a concentrated effort to lead pre-Christians through the process of conversion, encouraging them to go through the Foundations of Christianity with me as I build a trusting mentoring relationship with them. At an appropriate time, I will invite them to be a part of my mentoring group.

  • As I am making disciples, I will help those disciples to make other disciples and instill in them the vision of the great commission to which Jesus has called all his disciples. At an appropriate time in their spiritual walk (usually after phase 1), I will invite them to take the Ultimate Impact Challenge as well.
